Last Minute Reminders!

Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa- Hudson Valley Wedding-5.jpg

It's finally the week you've been waiting for! Try to not get overwhelmed when making sure every last detail is perfect for your day, instead focus on the most important things you need. Don't be afraid to delegate certain tasks to others, and it's a good idea to set reminders to help you remember any-last minute necessities!

Remember to eat and stay hydrated!

  1. Your wedding day will be long and you will be constantly moving around/busy. Try to set aside a few water bottles, and snacks ahead of time so you can eat and drink throughout the day. The last thing you want is to get lightheaded or feel nauseous on your big day!

Take a look at the weather forecast!

  1. Take a look at the weather periodically to see if there are any major changes. If suddenly there is a 90% chance of rain plan ahead for this. Pack some clear umbrellas (one umbrella for every two members of your bridal party). These can be found on Amazon!

  2. Try to not worry, I am sure all of your wedding venders are keeping an eye on the weather as well. We are all here to plan ahead and make sure things run as smoothly as possible for you!

Delegate Tasks!

  1. Planning a wedding is a huge task to take on. Delegating tasks will help take a lot of the pressure off on your wedding day!

  2. One VERY important tip I recommend is having your Maid of Honor or Best Man ready to help gather people for group photos! This will save tons of time and help keep things streamlined!

  3. Make sure any family that you want family portraits with is aware ahead of time and knows when and where to meet for these photos.

Make sure to finalize any music/ photo requests!

  1. If there are multiple versions of one song make sure your DJ knows exactly which one you want to be played

  2. Make sure to double-check with your DJ if you make any last-minute changes to your music.

  3. Tell your DJ if there are specific songs you want to be played at specific points in the night.

  4. If you think of any last minute shots you want/ anything important changes are made to the day make sure to communicate this with your photographer so we are prepared ahead of time.

Have you packed for your honeymoon?

  1. I am the QUEEN of last-minute packing but this is not the time to follow in my footsteps. Make sure everything is already packed and ready for your honeymoon before your wedding!

  2. Make sure your bags are either in your hotel room or getaway car, this task should be designated to someone responsible enough to make sure they make it there for you!

  3. Packing everything ahead of time will not only save you time, but you won't have to stress out about anything other than enjoying your night.

Remember to pay your vendors!

  1. I'm sure you have paid most of your vendors ahead of time, but there are some (hair & makeup) that you typically pay the day of. Make sure you know who will be paying them and the best way to go about payment. If people splitting the coasts, try and figure this math out before your wedding day. This will help you stay on time and have less to stress about.
